J P Corry, Lisburn has been announced as the overall winner in the second Octabuild Northern Ireland Builders Merchant Awards.
The prestigious award was presented at a ceremony on Thursday 8 March 2012 in the Stormont Hotel before an audience of almost 200 people, representing the merchant and building industry. The judges were lavish in their praise – not just for JP Corry in Lisburn – but also for the high standard among the thirty-six builders merchants visited. According to the judging panel, the results were a close call, as there was just four percentage points separating the top six merchants. Rounding off the event, nine other awards were presented on the night to a mixture of independent and group stores, in recognition of their skills and services (see below).
