Passivent is continuing its pioneering approach with the launch of a new ventilation ductwork system that cuts installation time by up to 70% and delivers NO air leakage and minimal pressure drop.

“SRD75 is a ‘plug and play’solution for anyone involved in thedesign and installation of domesticventilation,” explained DennisBates, Passivent Product Manager. “It is easy to install, regardless ofthe complexity of building internaldesign, and, as the ducting issupplied as a single length, flexiblecoil, jointing is reduced to aminimum almost eliminating therisk of air leakage,” he added.“Even in a large five-bedroomeddetached house, SRD75 took lessthan four hours to install:conventional ductwork would havetaken at least a day on a project ofthat scale.” The 75mm diameter meansSRD75 can be simply installed inceiling and wall voids, whilst itssmooth bore minimizes reduction of air pressure associated withtraditional ductwork. A special antistatic coating further enhances its performance, helping prevent dust and airborne debris from settling and forming blockages. The flexibility of SRD75 enables itsinstallation even round acuteangles without detrimental affecton its performance, or need forcreating a joint or inserting aseparate bend. Where SRD75 ductwork doeshave to be connected eg at coilends, into plenums, a bespokesealing joint ensures no risk of airleakage, and can be fitted withstandard tools.
