Enviroform solutions are committed to delivering a range of Cold Bridging solutions to existing problems relating to effective refurbishment of “hard to treat” homes.
each cold bridge within the building envelope becomes more significant. Cold bridges can cause up to 50% of the building’s heat loss, depending on the insulation level and the structure of the adjoining units. The basic negative effects of cold bridges are: • Rise in heat energy demand. • Indoor surfaces at lower winter temperatures. • Increased risk of surface condensation. • Risk of damages to building units, leading to vacancies & rehousing costs • Danger of mildew, causing serious health threats, potential litigation. • Complaints, withheld payments, reputation damage. Enviroform Solutions are now in the position to provide a range of unique products to tackle all these critical areas and therefore future proof the insulation upgrade and fabric of the building . Thermojoist, as its name suggests, offers SWI an ultra thin, fast and affordable method to reduce cold bridging and protect the integrity of timber joists embedded in solid walls. Thermojoist can be joined to any existing full or variable diffusion AVCL. • Unique Patented Solutions for reduction of Cold Bridging & Vapour Control at Intermediate joist ends when installing internal insulation. • Vapour & Air Tight Solutions • Integrates Vapour Control & Air tightness membranes between floors. • Simple Flat pack assembly design • Quick & Easy Installation • Will not over insulate allowing joist ends to dry-out, but will still provide enough insulation to prevent cold bridging. Thermal Bridging in external wall insulation can be eliminated through using Enviroform’s external Cold Bridging solutions such as Thermobead, Thermopro and Thermoflash. Thermo-Bead is a fast, cost effective and ultra-thin solution to deal with the cold bridging at external window reveals. Thermo- Bead comprises of standard beads insulated with 10mm of Aerogel insulation and integrates seamlessly into all existing EWI systems leaving a finished depth of just 17mm. Using Thermo-Bead with 10mm of Aerogel insulation provides the same thermal resistance as 23mm of Graphite EPS saving 13mm of valuable space for window and door openings. The Thermo-Pro range of profiles have been developed to provide a weather tight and thermal bridging solution for external wall insulation systems. • Faster Installations • Reduce risk of onsite damage • Superior Weatherproofed and pre-finished solution • No thermal breaks in EWI • Reduced disruption to access. • The Thermo-Pro can be fitted ahead of the main insulation works without scaffolding, simplifying the job of the primary EWIS contractor. Thermo-Flash is a very simple but also very effective solution that has been developed to prevent cold bridging in key areas in existing properties. This solution comprises of 10mm high performance Spaceloft Aerogel insulation wrapped in a VCL and finished with powder coated aluminium or aluflash. • Reduction of thermal bridging • Improved weatherproofing • Aesthetically pleasing • Easy to install • Cost effective Cold bridging problems exist in our current Solid wall housing stock. If not adequately addressed these problem areas will compromise the performance of any retrofit program. Conventional IWI & EWI systems largely do not meet best practice standards. Training programmes are required to increase awareness of the potentials risks and develop appropriate solutions.
