The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) has marked a successful 50 years with a celebratory Reception at The Mansion House in Dublin.

The event, which took place on Monday 19 October, welcomed professionals and important figures from the built environment within the Republic of Ireland.

A welcome address was given by the Lord Mayor of Dublin and both CIAT President, Karl Grace and President Elect, Gary Mees gave speeches highlighting the achievements of the past 50 years but also the bright future that lies ahead for the Institute and Architectural Technology.

Denise Germaine MCIAT, Republic of Ireland Centre Councillor and Chairman said ‘We were delighted to celebrate 50 years of CIAT with a reception generously hosted by Ardmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh, Lord Mayor of Dublin in the prestigious Mansion House. The Institute has been instrumental in raising the status of Chartered Architectural Technologists in Ireland as experts in the technology of architecture.

Ardmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh, Lord Mayor of Dublin said ‘It was a pleasure to join CIAT members and other guests in celebrating this momentous occasion. I wish the Institute well as Chartered Architectural Technologists continue to flourish in Dublin and beyond with a vital role in the design and construction industry.’
