Group Managing Director Brankin Engineering / Ductwork
Our sister company, Brankin Engineering Ltd, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of air conditioning and ventilation ductwork systems, has two manufacturing facilities situated in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, and Broxburn, Scotland. Both plants contain the latest manufacturing machinery, controlled with production computer software. In recent years, the preference for off-site pre-assembled multiservice modules within building services projects has grown rapidly and coupled with more rigorous Heath & Safety requirements, these regional facilities have become standalone pre-fabrication divisions within the Vaughan Group. These divisions work closely with our clients and suppliers to provide innovative solutions to the ever-changing challenges in today’s market.
Technical Service
We have a 2D and 3D CAD facility which enables our engineers to work from original architectural project drawings to produce fully co-ordinated services systems within the constraints of the building structure. Vaughan actively supported and promoted the use of renewable energy technologies in conjunction with Bennett Robertson Design and strived to achieve maximum results in the reduction of energy waste and to provide future sustainability for our clients on two recent high profile projects –
Causeway Visitor Centre and The Crescent Arts Centre, both in partnership with Gilbert-Ash NI. These innovations included the use of an earth-pipe network and ground source heat pumps, consisting of 4km of pipework concealed beneath the Causeway car parks. DHW solar systems and efficient water management systems on the Crescent Arts Centre plumbing network ensured energy requirements were reduced throughout the building. Ventilation systems incorporated heat recovery, maximising energy gains from public performance areas.
