MCA Systems Limited specialise in Control & Management Systems for the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Industry
Established in 1980, MCA Systems have built up an excellent reputation throughout the trade which has now made them one of the leading Control, Ventillation and BEMS specialists in Northern Ireland. The company supplies controls to the industrial, commercial and residential sectors. In order to maintain their reputation for high standards of workmanship, commitment and service, MCA Systems have established policies which allow them to maintain the required level of quality to keep their BE EN ISO 9002 rating. This, coupled with the experience and expertise of their engineers and the provision of only quality equipment, helps to hold them in high esteem throughout the trade. As well as manufacturing their own control panels, MCA Systems are a local agent for Honeywell and Siemens and are the sole Northern Ireland Approved Cylon Systems integrator (ACSI) and authorised agents. Through the Cylon Building Energy Management Systems, MCA are able to provide total building management of HVAC, lighting and automated monitoring and targeting (AMT). Indeed, the latest release from Cylon allows seamless integration through existing TCP/IP networks, giving the end user total access to their building controls within the familiar surroundings of standard web pages. The innovative systems designed to provide the environmental control within the new Giant’s Causeway Visitors Centre will operate under the dictates of a Cylon Building Management System, programmed and set to work in conjunction with Bennett Robertson Design. The BMS system is made modular in nature and shall permit expansion in both capability and functionality through the addition of sensors, actuators, DDC Controllers, Application Specific Controllers and operator devices. DDC Controllers will be able to access any data from any other DDC Controller or combination of controllers on the network without dependence upon a central processing device. DDC Controllers shall also be able to send alarm reports to a remote workstation without dependence upon a central processing device. The installed system includes a Web-based supervisory package which will allow the BMS to be monitored and adjusted using a familiar web browser environment – over the internet, through a local intranet, or on a PC connected directly to the BMS controllers. It will allow the end user to retrieve logged point data and full alarm management with the flexibility of alarm notification via email if required. User log-on and password protection shall be a fundamental requirement, and through this access privileges shall be assigned.
