New findings from a survey commissioned by WorldPay Zinc, the pay as you go mobile payment service that enables small businesses to accept card payments, reveal how many of the UK’s builders and construction workers could be missing out on work by not accepting card payments.
One in five (20%) UK consumers surveyed said they have had to abandon a purchase due to the supplier not accepting card payments or because they did not have enough cash, and 72% of people said they were left with a negative impression of a business that fails to accept cards. With the launch of WorldPay Zinc, the mobile card payment service, your customers can now pay up front reducing the need to chase for outstanding payments. Robert Bara, Managing Director and owner of Mervac Construction said: “Chasing customers for full payment once a job is complete and approved by the Building Inspectorate is one of the biggest headaches of running my own building firm. Ever since I have started using WorldPay Zinc and offered customers the option to pay by card with an instant paper or email receipt, the business has a much healthier cash flow and my life is a lot less stressful.” Pay as you go – only 2.75% per card payment – the convenience of card payments without the on-going costs, monthly fees or lock-ins.
