Solid wall Insulation 

There are an extremely large  number of Solid Walled homes  within the UK & Ireland. With ever  increasing fuel costs and the  constant improvement of  standards and regulations, it has  become more and more important  to insulate these homes.  Solid walled homes can be  insulated two ways – either  Internally or Externally.  Each Solution has its own  products which will reduce the  overall heat loss from your home  dramatically, improve in your  homes overall efficiency and save  each home owner a considerable  amount of money each year on  fuel bills.  At Enviroform Solutions we have  a range of products for both  Internal and External wall  insulation solutions. We can look  at each building on an individual  bases to ensure that the correct  product is being used.  Along with insulating the building  both internally and externally we  would strongly recommend in  dealing with the Window/Door  reveals and Wall returns. We  have a range of products that will  reduce the cold bridging in these  specific areas.

Cold Bridging

 Cold Bridging is the additional heat  loss at junctions of the plane  building elements; this will include  areas such as window reveals,  wall returns, supports, rafters,  dormer windows etc. In retrofit  construction it is extremely  important to deal with these heat  loss junctions because if the  building envelope is just insulated  this will increase the heat loss  through the junctions leading to an  inefficient insulation upgrade.  At Enviroform Solutions we have  done extensive research and  developments into products that  can solve this problem, below are  solutions that can stop the cold  bridge at these junctions.

Internal Insulation (Magnaline  Superslim) – During and After:  Magnaline Reveal

  By combining aerogel Spaceloft  insulation with an extremely robust  but also very thin facing board,  Multi-Pro magnesium silicate,  Enviroform solutions has produced  a 16mm thick reveal board,  Magnaline Reveal, with a thermal  resistance of 0.8m2K/W. To achieve  this same thermal resistance using  traditional methods, the equivalent  alternative solutions would need to  be double the thickness.

Magnaline Return 

Magnaline Return is a thermal  bridging solution that has been  developed to stop a cold bridge  occurring between the junction of  the external wall and connecting  internal wall. It can help provide  an improvement in U-Value by  2.25 W/m2K (2.54 to 0.29) and  combats surface condensation  and mould growth
