ISOVER Reveals The New VARIO Xtra Airtight And Moisture Control System

ISOVER Ireland have recently launched a new range of products to their airtightness and moisture control range.

The NEW VARIO Xtra System is a next generation solution, combining optimum performance with fast and efficient installation. The new system consists of VARIO Xtra Safe intelligent membrane & VARIO Xtra Fix fixative strip and can be used in conjunction with all other existing VARIO accessory products. VARIO Xtra Safe membrane, is an intelligent membrane for greater safety, offering a higher variability for optimum protection from moisture. With an Sd value ranging from 0.3 – 20 m, Xtra Safe has the best variability currently available on the Irish market, and is particularly suited to our climate with its high humidity levels. This means it can tackle a wide variety of applications and deal with extremes in temperatures much more effectively particularly with our changeable climate – our recent cold snaps in winter and higher than normal summer temperatures. The membrane can be simply and quickly installed by just one installer, thanks to its innovative fleece material which adheres to the Xtra fix tape – meaning that the membrane can be easily removed and replaced during installation = no staples required. The added benefit is that the airtight barrier does not need to be punctured with staples ensuring maximum airtightness. The new VARIO Xtra range offers a wide variety of efficient application solutions from pitched roofs and timber frame constructions to flat roofs, meaning ISOVER’s range of membranes are hard to beat on performance and ease of installation. The most exceptional characteristic of VARIO Xtra Safe, in pitched and flat roof applications, is it allows installers to fully fill the insulation space between rafters = no need for air gap. This is particularly beneficial in cases where it can be challenging to provide ventilation in nonbreathable pitched or flat roofs.
