The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Ireland Region has launched the search for an organisation and an individual that has made an outstanding contribution to the Facilities and Property Management Industry in Ireland, to be recognised with an esteemed award.

These prestigious awards celebrate excellence and recognise and reward innovation by those who have made a significant contribution to workplace services within the industry, such as construction, catering, security, cleaning, maintenance, energy, IT or health and safety over the last 12 months.

Entries are welcomed from organisations and individuals operating in the public, private and voluntary sectors in Ireland that are involved in the management or provision of services to property and workplace facilities, and who are advocates of Facilities and Property Management as a service and / or profession. The winners will be revealed at the 16th annual BIFM Ireland Region conference and exhibition – sponsored by H&J Martin Facilities Management and ARAMARK Workplace Solutions – which will take place at Belfast Waterfront on Friday 16 November 2012.

The winner of the individual award will receive free membership of BIFM for one year and the winner of the organisation award will receive £150 off their next annual BIFM corporate membership.

Stephen Welch, Chairman of the BIFM Ireland Region Committee, commented: “These awards provide the perfect opportunity to recognise the excellent work being done across our sector and reward those individuals and organisations that are making a real difference in our industry and setting a benchmark for the future.” “Facilities management continues to be one of the fastest growing professions in the UK and Ireland and plays a crucial role in the success of organisations.

“This includes delivering on strategic and operational objectives, providing a safe and efficient working environment and providing great value for money on facilities services which in this current economic climate is of paramount importance.” Entries are welcomed from organisations and individuals operating in the public, private and voluntary sectors in Ireland that are involved in the management or provision of services to property and workplace facilities.
