Renewable Energy Scheme In Full Swing

                  Local firm makes ‘going green’ more affordable

A Northern Ireland engineering firm is making the option to switch to renewable energy more affordable for business and consumers across the country.

Grant NI, who have been producing state of the art heating products for over 35 years, are offering customers the chance to claim back up to £21,500 in the first seven years* if they install one of the company’s condensing wood pellet boilers.

The new Grant Eco-scheme was officially launched at the recent Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle Golf Club.  To give additional help to businesses who are considering installing a wood pellet boiler, Grant NI have launched a new Grant Eco-scheme. The scheme is an incentive that will further assist making the switch by providing an additional £1,500 towards the price of their boiler.**

Over the years Grant NI have become known for leading the field in developing high-performance and affordable alternatives for heating homes and on farms.  This expertise has seen the firm develop and launch a range of renewable appliances which includes the award-winning affordable, innovative and efficient Grant Spira condensing wood pellet boiler range.

Last year the government extended its Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) in Northern Ireland to include domestic homes as well as businesses. The Domestic RHI enables households installing approved renewable heat appliances to benefit from an initial payment and ongoing incentives over a seven year period, while the commercial RHI offers businesses payments for up to 20 years.

Mark Eccles from Grant NI said: “By installing a Grant Spira condensing wood pellet boiler, customers can reduce their carbon footprint and receive an initial payment of £2,500 under the RHI scheme as well as ongoing payments for up to seven years based on potential heat demand.  This could give households in Northern Ireland the opportunity to claim up to £21,500 in the first seven years.***
