With home heating costs soaring ever higher, householders across Northern Ireland are being urged to ensure that their central heating systems are working efficiently.
This is because poor performance from your boiler can add hundreds of pounds to your annual home heating costs, not to mention leaving you out in the cold when it comes to heating your home efficiently.
Renowned boiler manufacturer Grant Engineering are leading the way in ensuring that homes across Northern Ireland can access the latest cost-effective, top-quality, hitech and environmentally friendly range of efficient heating solutions.
Condensing oil boilers use less oil during operation and therefore emit less carbon dioxide (one of the major causes of environmental pollution) – they also cost less to run. Many modern conventional oil boilers can only offer an efficiency rate of 85%, whereas the rate for condensing boilers is 97%.
Grant Vortex condensing oil boilers have been independently verified as up to 97% efficient (the most efficient on the market). By fitting a Grant Vortex condensing oil boiler with full heating controls you could save up to £250 a year and quickly recoup your initial outlay. Department for Social Development boiler replacement grants of up to £1,000 are sometimes available for upgrading to Grant Vortex condensing oil boilers.
Woodpellet boilers are an environmentally friendly, safe and convenient way of heating the home using pellets of wood as fuel.
By installing a Grant Spira Condensing woodpellet boiler you could save up to 46% on your annual costs against LPG or oil. The units are available in outputs of 6-26kw with an efficiency of 97.4% gross, and 9-36kW with an efficiency of 93.1% gross.
The Grant ‘Spira’ boiler differs from traditional solid fuel boilers in that the units are fully automatic, use condensing technology, and behaves more like an oil or gas boiler, using advanced controls, which cleverly regulate the amount of fuel being delivered to the burner to match the heat demand on the boiler. There is no requirement for a buffer tank with the Grant Spira and the boilers cleaning system will periodically wash the condensing unit of any debris in the tubes which reduces maintenance time.
With an established history of more than 30 years designing, manufacturing and supplying a wide range of highly efficient and reliable heating products, Grant is the only option when choosing a new or replacement heating system.
If you choose to install a Grant ‘Spira’ condensing wood pellet boiler which is MCS approved, you could benefit from a grant of up to £2,500 via the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and see payback greatly reduced.
