The construction industry has a brand new show this October – the Modern Builder CPD
(Continuing Professional Development) Construction Trade Event, being held in Belfast.
Modern Builder magazine has just launched the first ‘trade only’ construction event that Northern Ireland has seen for nearly a decade. The event will be held in the Stormont Pavilion, on the Newtownards Road in Belfast, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October, 2013. The event is open to every trade associated with the building industry. The event will have an exclusive CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and Seminar programme rolled out over the three days. There will be a combined total of 18 CPDs and Seminars that will be available. With the CPDs and Seminars having only 80 seats each, space is limited and will be allocated on a first-to-register basis. The CPD and Seminar programme is available on request from the show organisers, and covers everything from cavity insulation, air tightness and concrete, through to various construction building methods available, such as Sip panels, ICF and timber frame construction. Event organisers, Martyn Boyd and Jasen Upritchard of UB Media and Modern Builder magazine commented: “There has not been a specific trade event for the whole construction industry within Northern Ireland for about a decade. “Ever since ‘Construct’ went to the wall, everything has been geared around the self-build market, as a way for companies to exhibit their products. Certainly nothing specifically for ‘trade only’ has been available – until now.” “The construction industry as a whole, as such, has become fragmented, and the gap between the Architect and the Mechanical Engineer has grown massively over the past years. “The recession has hit the industry hard, at all levels, and companies have had to think and work smarter to keep the doors open.” Modern Builder’s aim behind this event is to give the industry an avenue that enables everyone to roll out their products – with CPDs where available – to give the industry an information upgrade, and in the process, give it a lift at the same time. The magazine has been overwhelmed by the support this ethos has received within the industry, for this event. Construction companies are switched on to the facilities that this event can offer, to roll out their CPDs in an enclosed environment, directly to their target market. The support from the industry bodies has been amazing, and cemented the thinking behind this event, as the right way forward for the industry as a whole. Modern Builder magazine invites all associated within the construction industry to come along and support this event and industry, connect with like minded individuals, and help elevate this industry back to were it belongs, and put the BUILD back into BUILDING. As limited seats are available for CPD and seminar programmes, tickets will be allocated on a first come basis. REGISTER NOW for your chosen CPD or Seminar and for the programme of events.
